This course focuses on the relationships that we build with the people we work with, and aims to equip participants with the skills to develop and sustain a working relationship that is truly trauma informed.
The training covers eight topics - rapport, positive regard, non-possessive warmth, empathy, listening, presence, boundaries, and questioning. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss these topics and practice the related skills.

to understand the need for skills when working with people who have experienced trauma
to understand how relationship is important in recovery
to focus on eight key skills and how to apply them to our practice
