COVID 19 STATEMENT: how we're keeping in touch

The health and wellbeing of all involved with One Small Thing is our top priority at this time. Whilst the situation is rapidly changing, we would like to update our supporters and partners on our current position. Our focus remains on supporting those in our prisons - both residents and staff. We appreciate regimes will not be not be running as normal and on behalf of all of us here at One Small Thing, we want to send our very best to all prison staff, the real #hiddenheroes, at this difficult time and to thank them for all their work and commitment.

Our proactive Trauma Informed work in prisons is temporarily on hold. We are focussing our resources on supporting our Trauma Leads and creating Trauma Informed care packs for residents and staff.  If any of our supporters or partners think they have resources that may useful please do contact us.

Similarly, we are all sharing the challenges of this pandemic and where you think that we at One Small Thing can help with resources or support for the prisons and our partners, please do contact us.

In the community we have paused our training courses and rescheduled our annual Trauma Conference to take place later this year. We are looking at options for virtual learning and opportunities for people to access professional development and develop skills online.

We are also running a special series of our #JUSTICE Podcast focused on hearing from those on the frontline.

Whilst our offices are currently closed, our fantastic team are all able to work from home so are available and we will continue to support remotely.

Thank you to all our Trauma Leads, Champions, Peer Facilitators, partners, supporters and staff for your understanding during this time.
