Hope Street community café
Hope Street’s on-site community café, and the kitchen gardens that feed it enable women at Hope Street to develop their skills and experience. Local residents and visitors have the opportunity to be part of Hope Street and enjoy delicious breakfasts, lunches, coffee and cakes in our tranquil new building, with the seasonal menu featuring the kitchen garden’s fruit, vegetables and herbs. The skills and employability programme, designed in response to what women told us during the initial design process for the Hope Street building, supports our residents to integrate and develop practical skills, qualifications and experience that set them up to succeed when they move on into life in the community after their time in the Hub. The programme nurtures the sense of community and belonging that is central to the aims of Hope Street.
