Lorna Forbes
Lorna is a brand and marketing professional with over 25 years’ experience spanning the charity and private sectors. She currently holds the position of Head of Brand Engagement at RNIB, the UK’s leading sight loss charity developing and delivering award-winning mass awareness behaviour change campaigns.
Lorna started her career with the international advertising research agency Hall & Partners, testing consumer advertising for well-known brands including adidas, Baileys and Merlin Entertainment. After making the transition to charity sector in 2000 she has held senior positions in charities gaining a wealth of experience in cause led marketing.
Initially with Victim Support, gaining a working insight and ongoing interest in the Criminal Justice System, then at vInspired dispelling outdated perceptions of youth volunteering and driving engagement in life enriching volunteering opportunities.
Outside of work Lorna is the mother of two teenage daughters. Motivating and supporting women in a world often not designed for them is incredibly important to Lorna and she is excited to have the opportunity to do this professionally in her role of Trustee with One Small Thing.
In her spare time Lorna enjoys reading and spending time with her family. She is a founding member of the Member of the Data and Marketing Association (DMA) Black Professionals Forum and held a position as a Foundation Governor at a London school between 2016 and 2020.
