Jodie Townsend

Jodie has over 23 years of knowledge of the Criminal Justice System including Police and Courts.

Over her 23 years in this sector, Jodie has supported delivery of various Government contracts and National Lottery Funded provisions, supporting the most vulnerable people across England and Wales.

Women and children who are at risk of, or involved in the CJS are her passion, she works frontline at HMP Eastwood Park as Strategic Housing Specialist.  She is extremely privileged to be able to use her position to support Women leaving prison to return to the community with the best support in place as possible.

She delivers many events in her role and is responsible for training new and current Magistrates from across the South West and Wales on the harm that Remand and short sentences cause Women, their children and their families, and promotes heavily community sentences.

An Expert by experience of homelessness, Domestic Abuse, County Lines and Exploitation she brings a unique perspective to her role as Trustee.
